About the Author
My name is Leif Smith and I am 24 years old. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics with a minor in Communication & Journalism from the University of New Mexico in 2007. In December 2008, I earned a Automotive Technology Certification from Central New Mexico Community College in Albuquerque.
I have always been interested in cars. In middle school, I wrote a report about one day becoming an automotive engineer. In high school, I realized that I really hated math, then later found out that engineering involves a copious amount of math. In college, I focused on language and writing. If I couldn’t design them, I was going to write about them. The last three jobs I’ve had have involved cars- I delivered cars parts, worked at a dealership as a lot attendant, and now I’m a valet parking guy. Between working on my own cars, reading about cars, learning about cars in school, and driving different cars every day… I’m pretty qualified to write about cars.
